Our experience working with South Eastern General Contractors (SEGC) to build our dream home was first rate from start to finish and their commitment after the sale was first rate too. The first thing you need to know if you want to build a home with SEGC is, it's all about the Relationship and the Process. It will be a relationship in the truest sense of the word. Building a home is one of the most expensive propositions most of us ever engage in and you could not ask for a better team to partner with than Ralphael Locklear and his crew of professionals. From the initial discussions about the whole design/build process with Troy to meeting and getting to know Ralph and his wife and having him explain his Process we felt right at home. The whole Team is very straight forward and there to help throughout the Process. We had a design in mind and brought a couple of pictures to the meet with Ralph's in-house architect Adam Frazier. Adam took out vision and translated it to a 3D design we could literally fly-through as well as all the required blueprints/plans. He was always there for us as we refined our plan many times over until we had it finalized, exactly how we wanted it. The build Process was extremely smooth as well, with regular updates, site visits with Ralph and the team and the photo/video documentation was amazing. Tip of the hat to John and the technical skills he brings to documenting the process and making it come to life and sharing with family and friends, if you so desire. The build process was smooth since Ralph only uses the most talented sub-contractors and trades in the area. The job site was always clean, neat and orderly with 24 hour monitored video surveillance on site to help reduce material theft and vandalism that can run up costs and delay progress. Once the house was complete SEGC's follow through could not be beat. As with any project there will be unforeseen issues that arise, but Ralph was always there to make things right. His response was always, "No problem Buddy, I'll make it right for you." and he did! :-) Couple all of this with the excellent service we received from the front office crew handling the ordering of appliances, lighting fixtures, hardware and the hundred other things that have to be procured to make the build complete. Professional, courteous and simply great people all the way around. Take a look at the many videos Ralph has on his YouTube page to see the level of detail he puts into every job, then go look at the competition, there is NO comparison when it comes to high end custom homes in the area. Because building a custom home is a 18-24 month, or more process, from start to finish, it is nice to be able to do it all with one company who all work together on a daily basis. They know your name and voice on the phone and are there to make the experience the best it can be. Imagine doing one of the most stressful things you can do in life with an organization that simply treats you like just another customer. The Team at SEGC treat you like a member of the family who only want the very best for you and your custom home building experience. Highly recommended!
