At Southeastern General Contractors (SEGC), we’re known for our expertise in construction, but in early 2024, we were called upon for something different—helping the community at Fort Liberty with a significant trash problem. The residents of Fort Liberty were facing a growing issue: a trash pileup that was becoming a serious health hazard. When the incumbent contractor failed to keep up with the base’s needs, the community was left looking for a solution.
Despite our primary focus on construction, SEGC stepped up to the challenge. Leveraging our problem-solving skills and ability to mobilize quickly, we acquired the necessary equipment and began a large-scale cleanup effort that immediately relieved the base’s mounting waste issue.
Our ability to move swiftly was a critical factor in our success. Within a short timeframe, we were able to partner with base officials, local authorities, and our vast network to ensure that Fort Liberty was restored to a clean and safe environment.
